Asparagus is best cooked in a tall, cylindrical pan with a lid in which to cook upright. The soft tips then rise above the water and are steamed instead of boiled. The Demeyere asparagus cooker is perfect for this. It is a high, narrow cooking pot/pan with an asparagus basket with hook so that you can hang it on the edge of the pot/pan. This asparagus cooker is unique: it is not only ideal for vertical cooking of vegetables such as asparagus or chicory, but also for preparing pasta. You can also blanch, boil and steam in it. Demeyere offers a 10-year warranty on all manufacturing or material defects.
